Our Aim and Objectives

We identify, promote and encourage the treatment, education, welfare and acceptance of children with autism. Also to watch over, protect and act in the interests of children with autism of autism-like feature. To stimulate public awareness and understanding of autism, and promote community involvement and support for children with autism and their famalies. To familiarise and advise the community of special skills, services and understanding necessary for the care and management of children with autism, so as to assist such children to develope their full potential. Provide assistance and advise to famalies of person with autism. Provide and maintain suitable premises and equiptment for the purpose of the organization. To encourage and promote establishment and improvement of day care and other facilities for the training, developement and support of children's with autism. Liaise with government department and other organizations, agencies, professionals and other persons within the country and outside, intrested in and having expart knowledge in the welfare of persons with autism. With the help of my parents here in the States and my brothers in Sierra Leone we have started giving hope to these children and their famalies. We have open a School for children with autism in Sierra Leone, Sahid Autism School, well registered under the ministry of socila welfare gender and children affairs and the Freetown City Council. We provide uniforms, school bags, books, and clothes. We provide two meals a day, breakfast and lunch, during school hours. We teach the children life skills, how to read, write, how to socialize, hygiene and self-control. We provide their famalies with information to help their children thrive and to do deal with the disorder behavior, we hope to add more classes more students. We are working closely with the Sierra Leone psychiatic hospital under the childrn's department for medical advises and for the children, parents and training of staff and treatment.
